If you follow us on social media, you know that yesterday was a special experience.
The school staff had planned to make meatball subs for the kids, since that would be easy, filling, and inexpensive. But when we arrived at school, we realized the power had been off and the freezer items were ruined.
We were scrambling around to figure out what to do for lunch when the phone rang. One of our volunteers was at home with her husband and three kiddos for President's Day. They noticed that we didn't have anyone on the lunch schedule, so they asked if we might need a lunch.
Growing up, George Mueller was one of my heroes. I read stories about him sitting down with the children at his orphanage and thanking the Lord for the meal, knowing there was no food in the house but expecting the Lord to provide. As they prayed, both milk and bread were miraculously delivered.
Yesterday was a George Mueller moment for us.
We are so thankful for the volunteers who demonstrate their love for the Lord and for our students by providing a lunch!
