Nichelle Bennett

Nichelle serves as the APEX Facilitator at CCA. She has a passion to serve others and see individuals reaching their full potential in Christ.

She graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Psychology and later obtained her Masters in Theological Studies from Palmer Seminary.

Nichelle has experience working in residential life with college students and is working on the development of the CCA Student Leadership House.

Herb Brown

Herb serves as the Math, Science, and Technology teacher at CCA. Herb also teaches the Men's Bible Class and serves as the technology facilitator. 

Herb holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering degree from SMU. After a career in Information Technology, Herb was led by the Lord to teach and help urban youth.

He has been a mentor through Big Brothers and Big Sisters, a tutor at several schools, and has taught the Faith & Finances class at Brother Bill’s Helping Hand in Dallas.

Chris Culley

Chris serves as English Teacher as well as the Men’s Bible Teacher. He is also working to develop athletic opportunities for the students.

Chris holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Dallas Baptist University and a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Chris is no stranger to the CCA community, having joined us in 2013. He first served as a tutor during his undergraduate years, then as a life coach. Chris is incredibly grateful to be a part of what God is doing in and through Cornerstone Crossroads Academy.

Kristi Lichtenberg

Kristi is the Executive Director of Cornerstone Crossroads Academy. She holds a B.A. in Guidance & Counseling, an M.A. in Bilingual Education, and a doctorate in Educational Administration.

Coming to CCA with 15 years of experience in public schools, she brings expertise in program evaluation and campus administration.

She is married to her hero, Scott, and has a daughter and a son-in-law. She believes God has fulfilled her greatest dreams by allowing her to know, love, & serve young people at CCA for the past 12 years.

Monisha Randolph

Monisha serves as the Director of Special Programs at CCA. She also enjoys teaching Girls' Bible, Speech, and College & Career Readiness to her awesome students.

She holds a B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of New Orleans, and a MBA in Non Profit Management from the University of Dallas.

In addition to 10 plus years in youth development, Monisha has extensive experience in curriculum development, community engagement, and fitness training.

Monisha was the City Coordinator for the DeVos Urban Leadership Initiative Dallas Cohort in 2016. She is the founder and head coach for Runner’s Revelations, a running program specifically designed for novice runners.

Jamal Roberson

Jamal is the Student Work Program Manager. After graduating from CCA in 2015, Jamal worked at Weir’s Furniture in the warehouse and on a delivery truck. He returned to CCA in 2016 as the manage the student work program.

Jamal is uniquely positioned to lead the students as he shares his powerful story of leaving behind the street life, graduating from the Men of Nehemiah, completing high school at CCA, entering the work force, and becoming a godly leader in our community.

Wayne Sims

Wayne Sims is the Principal of Cornerstone Crossroads Academy. Mr. Sims is a Teach for America Alumnus who has a passion for reconciliation. He completed his undergraduate studies at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina, and obtained his M.B.A. at the University of Dallas.

After graduate school, Wayne worked with Sherwin Williams as an Assistant Store Manager. Desiring to impact lives, he left Sherwin Williams to join Teach for America.

Wayne served as a Corps member at KIPP TRUTH Academy, a Title 1 school in Oak Cliff. During his time at KIPP, Wayne had the opportunity to write curriculum, and lead a grade level.

Wayne is grateful for the opportunity to openly confess the love of Christ to his students. Shlynn and Wayne also mentor with a South Dallas non-profit called Champions of Hope. Wayne enjoys playing cards, eating various cuisines, and playing sports.

Sydney Weaver

Sydney serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for CCA. She graduated from John Brown University with a B.S. in Family and Human Services.

During the summer of 2015, she had the opportunity to serve alongside Cornerstone at their kids summer camp and fell in love with South Dallas and the ministries that Cornerstone offered. She has a heart to serve the students of CCA through programs and activities as well as to connect volunteers from across the Dallas community with the CCA family.

Jean Wood

Jean serves as the Case Manager at CCA. Jean is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in Social Work and a seasoned life coach/mentor with over 50 years experience working with urban youth in Minneapolis, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, and Dallas. 

Jean is a wife of over 45 years, mom of 3 grown children and “Grammy” to 10 grandchildren. She loves the relationships that are built at CCA.

As a 501c3, CCA is governed by a Board of Directors. They oversee the Executive Director and ensure that we are accomplishing the mission of CCA. The Board meets monthly and each member is on a committee. Each board member signed a Statement of Faith and a CCA Board Member Commitment Form. Each person gives their time, talent, and treasure to partner with the CCA staff and volunteers to accomplish the mission of the school.
